Compton selects Roger Haley as the New City Manager
Roger Haley is the former Lynwood City Manager who will be overseeing the day-to-day administration of the City of Compton 13 departments and $176 million budget.
Since September 2014 assistant city manager Johnny Ford has been the interm City Manager after the firing of G. Harold Duffey.
Haley has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Administration from USC; Executive Leadership Credential from Harvard University & an Masters in Public Administration from California State University-Long Beach.
The Mission of the City Manager is to Ensure that the fiscal and administrative policies enacted by Council are achieved and assist City departments in meeting stated goals and objectives.
The Core Services of the office of city manager are to:
- Implement fiscal and Administrative Policies
- Ensure organizational efficiency
- Develop and implement communication plan to increase transparency between citizens and their government.
