At the Compton City Council meeting family members expressed their grief and thanks to the community, law enforcement, and city officials. They asked that those who are responsible for the murder of Autumn Johnson to turn themselves in and to those who are helping to harbor the individual to turn the person into law enforcement.
Mayor Aja Brown and the City Council authorized a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of any person or persons responsible for the death of Baby Johnson. Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) both planned to match the City’s reward for a total of $75,000.
A march from Lueders Park to the Compton City Hall is planned for this Sunday February 21 at 2pm.
