Flying Pig Adventures’ mission is to get you back into the outdoors. reconnect with natureand remembered the infinite possibilities that exist when dreamers pull their heads out of the clouds and begin to put those dreams into action. We believe that nature is the greatest teacher of all, and restoring our relationship with nature is the best we can do.
Nature teaches us so much in all aspects of our lives. When we first started Flying Pig Adventures, nature influenced many of our business decisions and helped us form the amazing company we proudly own today.
Here are seven lessons we learned from nature when starting a business.
1. Harvesting takes time
The ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu famously said:Nature is in no hurry, but everything will be achieved. The concept of slowing down and being patient is hard to digest in a society centered on immediate gratification, but it’s important to remember that things take time.
Give proper time to harvest what you sow, don’t rush. Your harvest, aka your rewards, will come in time, and they will be all the more rewarding when you allow them to unfold organically.
2. Flexible yet resilient
Plants and animals adapt to their environment. Their flexibility and adaptability make them strong and resilient. When starting a business, flexibility and adaptability are key to success.
Sometimes the original plans and methods don’t work out. This will only end your dreams if you become rigid, unwilling to accept change and adapt to new things.
3. Everything has a purpose
In nature, everything exists to maintain homeostasis. Nothing superfluous or unnecessary. Businesses should ensure the following when making marketing, operational, and management decisions: everything has a purpose Why it’s part of your business plan.
4. Collaborate, not compete
Nature is survival of the most adaptable, not survival of the fittest. As humans, we often forget that we are much more successful when we work together in groups than when we compete with each other. It will create more success for everyone.
After all, shared success is more important than personal success.

5. What wraps around
the principle of karma exists business or nature. In nature, everything returns to its place, and every action has consequences, both good and bad. Keep that in mind when starting a business and always prioritize responsible and forward-looking business practices, consumption and sustainability.
6. Know what’s good for you
Everything in nature revolves around self-preservation. Plants and animals know what’s good for them and don’t get involved with what’s not.
It’s important to develop strong intuition, focus on purpose and growth, and run your business in a way that aligns with your values and mission. And what if something isn’t working or isn’t good for your company? Fix the course and find something that works better.
7. Embrace change
Nature is cyclical, with cycles of days, months and years. Observe trees throughout the year to see how much they have changed. In business, embrace change that benefits you and your business. Embrace ‘improvements’ to be more flexible and successful.
If you haven’t experienced the true power of outdoor experiences lately, try immersing yourself in nature right away.It doesn’t have to be life-changing yellowstone horseback riding Or a whitewater rafting trip. Just a walk in the woods can do wonders to your mind.
Thanks to the lessons we learned from nature, we were able to follow our dreams, reconnect with nature, and take all our clients on the ride.
