A good business book should have a unique idea to solve a specific problem for its target audience, and incorporate a real story and a narrative structure that engages the reader. You should follow the natural flow of presenting a problem, offering a solution, and then detailing that solution with a case study to support your idea. Both big idea books and how-to books can help solve problems, so it’s important for authors to understand the continuum between the two.
