If you were one of the 10.5 million people who started a new business last year, celebrate that you’re still in business and working towards your financial goals. The best advice I can give a new business owner is to focus on his six areas:
1. Keep track of your cash flow
Stay on top of your client’s payment process. Collect your earnings as soon as possible Get paid faster with electronic invoices. Do not offer interest free loans to Fortune 500 companies. Make sure to honor the Net 30 payment.

Existing customers are much easier to manage than new customers. Once clients get used to you, they’re more likely to buy again, making a second or third purchase.
