Important points:
Shockingly, nearly half of the new hires quit before the company’s 100th anniversary. This is devastating to businesses, operations, the economy, and emotionally. To make the experience great, companies need to focus on the employee journey from day one. A new employee’s first day experience should be welcoming and inclusive, and companies should assign someone to run the entire journey from when employees first hear about the business to when it’s up and running 100 days later. Doing so can greatly improve retention numbers.
Build meaningful relationships with and connect with the people in our organization and understand that their personal lives are just as important as their professional lives and can influence how they grow in the workplace. It’s important to understand. The main point is to know that there are people who work for our company who admire the person, not the product.
